The General Inspection of Agriculture, Sea, Environment and Spatial Planning (IGAMAOT) is a central service control, audit and surveillance to the areas included in the mission and tasks of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, endowed with and administrative autonomy under the tutelage of the respective Minister.
The IGAMAOT's mission:
Assess the legality and regularity of actions taken by departments and agencies of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, or subject to the supervision of the respective minister;
Assess its management and its results through the technical audit control, performance and financial;
Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of compliance with the law in the areas of environment and spatial planning by public and private entities.
