Java deactivation in Google Chrome requires a new method for authentication in the Citizen's Portal and Entrepreneur's Desk

Last update on 15-08-2017

Starting with version 45 (its latest), Google Chrome stopped supporting java, a tool that was once essential to authenticating on the Citizen's Portal and the Entrepreneur's Desk.

As such, a solution has been created so that any user can continue to authenticate through this browser. This solution consists of an extension that must be installed in the browser and an application that must be installed on the user's computer - the files and their instructions can be accessed here (accessible only by Chrome) in Authentication.Gov.com.

In this way, the failure created by the recent disappearance of java support in Chrome is bridged.
