The National Children and Youth at Risk Protection Commission (CNPCJR) is to plan the intervention of the state and the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the actions of public bodies and the community in protection of children and young people at risk.

Among the duties of CNPCJR, are:

  • Adapt the action of all entities and intervention programs in the area of children and youth at risk;
  • Streamline the creation of emergency reception centers where needed;
  • Coordinate the transition of children in the justice system for the social welfare system;
  • Monitor the preparation of the diagnosis of the situation of institutionalized children;
  • Supporting child protection committee in order to improve the quality of their performance.
